A Voice for Working Families, Defender of Public Schools and Advocate for Nurses and Our Patients.

As the only nurse in the State House of Representatives and the first healthcare professional from Boone County since 1870, I have showed up day in and day out to stand against the dysfunctional politicians in Jefferson City. It has been my honor to on the Health and Mental Health, Professional Licensing and Registration, and Corrections and Public Institutions Committees. I look forward to continuing to serve the 50th.

Our healthcare policy should be determined by experts like nurses who work on the front lines of our healthcare systems. We interact most directly with both the patients we serve and the consequences of the dysfunction and red-tape coming from Jefferson City. I am the only nurse in the house, and will continue to advocate for healthcare workers and our patients.

I am a proud union member to fight for Columbia’s working families and their small businesses to ensure they have an ally for the resources they need to grow and thrive.

I am a parent and fierce advocate of our public education system to protect Columbia Public Schools and address issues within our public education system. My children are students at Columbia Public Schools, which my wife and I are very big fans of.
